Does this Corvette V8-swapped Porsche 911 make your ‘Kill with fire’ list?

For decades, Porsche sports cars have occupied their own market niche thanks to their outstanding engines. When comparing their acceleration against the executive flagships made by other brands, you could safely multiply their horsepower by 1.5x to find an adequate match. Why, then, would anyone on Earth swap that goodness out for a GM V8?

This Porsche 911 Carrera convertible had survived quite a bit of abuse even before the recent engine swap. The owner fitted it with a 996.2 Turbo front fascia and 19-inch wheels taken from the more recent generation, the 997. Yellow Speed Racing dropped it closer to the ground than ever, and the steering became power-assisted.

The stock flat-six engine got thrown away fairly early on, making room for an unspecified V8 with undisclosed parameters. It was recently unmounted and swapped out for the LS4 V8 usually coming with the C6 Chevy Corvette. The OEM-rated output is 430 PS (424 hp / 316 kW), and we are unaware of any modifications.

Note also the number plate reading ‘NOFLAT6’, as if it were some kind of pride point. Can you hear the throngs crying ‘Blasphemy’, or is it just us?
