MG One debuts on July 30, could ship worldwide
China-based carmaker MG will introduced its all-new compact crossover/hatchback, the MG, on July 30, 2021. The car comes based on the versatile SAIC Sigma architecture suitable for electric and non-electrified vehicles and has the following specs.
The first variant to hit the market will offer a turbocharged four-pot mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. This one will produce 181 PS (179 hp / 133 kW) and 275 Nm (203 lb-ft) of torque. After a while, hybrid version will follow along with a Pro version, which will be similar to that of the MG 6 liftback.
A glance at the teasers prompts a conclusion that the MG One closely resembles the MG Pilot in terms of exterior styling and dimensions. In all likelihood, the company will proceed to assemble it in China and India, and ship it to the UK as well.
