One-off Ford Mustang Mach-E pays homage to female pilots of the WWII

Ford has dedicated a specially built Mustang Mach-E SUV to WASP, or Women Airforce Service Pilots. The car just debuted at the 2021 EAA AirVenture Oshkosh that opened on July 26.

Visitors to the expo, which closes on Sunday, August 1, can see the EV exhibited at the company’s booth painted in a livery that resembles the colors of WWII-era planes and adorned with stars and wings. The number 38 at the front and in the cabin references the number of WASP pilots killed in the war.

Ford intends to sell the SUV later on and direct all proceedings to young and adult pilots who are, for one reason or another, unable to fulfil their dream of serving in the Air Force.
