Lynk & Co already has a few performance-focused models in its portfolio, including the 02 Hatchback and the 03+, and a new one is on its way to the market based on the coupe-SUV 05.

The newcomer goes by the name of ‘05+’ and comes equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo-four engine mated to an Aisin 8-speed A/T. It produces 265 PS (261 hp / 195 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque, a considerable bump from the original 254 PS (250 hp / 187 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque.

Even the part-electric 05 PHEV model is a little less powerful at 262 PS (258 hp / 193 kW) and 390 Nm (288 lb-ft) of torque. Having said that, it remains to be seen how fast the upcoming coupe-SUV is.

The model is 4,614 mm (180 inches) long, 1,879 mm (73.3 inches) wide and 1,628 mm (63.5 inches) tall with 2,734 mm (106.8 inches) between the axles. The standard 05 model uses 235/45 R20 tires, while the new one switches to 255/40 R20 size.

Elsewhere, the car sports a grille with bars instead of mesh, an added front splitter, a carbon rear spoiler, and twin tailpipes.

Prices remain to be announced. The original Lynk & Co 05 pictured in the attached video costs from 175,800 to 235,800 Chinese Yuan, while the PHEV starts from 227,700 Yuan. The car is highly popular in China with 32,502 units sold in January-August 2020 and another 14,248 in January-June 2021.
