Dacia unveils the Jogger, a high-riding, roomy family car

The all-new Dacia Jogger will be available to pre-order in five- and seven-seat variants starting in November, although prices remain unannounced and the production won’t start until February 2022.

For the time being, the practical family wagon will ship with two engines to choose from, a 1.0-liter three-cylinder rated at 110 PS (108 hp / 81 kW) and a CNG/petrol combo engine with 100 PS (99 hp / 74 kW). Six-speed manual is the only transmission choice, although a hybrid powertrain should complement the range in 2023.

The Jogger uses the same CMF-B underpinnings as the Dacia Sandero and looks much like it, too, except for Volvo-like taillights. For those of a more adventurous inclination, the car offers 200 mm (8 inches) of ground clearance, widened wheel arches, and roof rails that you can arrange however you like.

In its most basic form, the Jogger comes with cruise control, a multi-function steering wheel, USB and Bluetooth, 12V sockets, and automatic high beams. Paying extra unlocks an infotainment system with touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, remote tailgate unlock, electronic parking brake, reversing camera, sensor-based HVAC controls, parking sensors, and keyless car access.
