Feast your eyes on this unique GMC Syclone

GMC had produced only 2,995 Syclone pickups starting 30 years ago, one of which is now up for grabs with a top bid of $48,888 shortly before the auction end.

The car has never left the bounds of Colorado and California. Favorable climate ensured its flawless condition even after three decades of use – although 1,400 miles (2,250 kilometers) are hard to consider serious mileage.

All Syclones came finished in black with red badges and featured lowered suspension, special bumpers with anti-fog lamps, side moldings, 16-inch wheels, and 245/50 tires.

Interior highlights include black velour seats with red accents, integrated headrests and adjustable waist support, as well as a dashboard and door panels trimmed with grey plastic. Cruise control and cassette player came optional, and this example has both.

A 4.3-liter Mitsubishi V6 TT uses a Garrett intercooler to produce 280 PS (276 hp / 206 kW), which a four-speed automatic transmission sends to all four wheels. A limited-slip differential can be found on the rear axle.
