Will a tuned Mercedes-AMG GT beat the Lambo Huracan STO to the quarter-mile?

Few would disagree that the Lamborghini Huracan STO is a track weapon of mass destruction, but is it as good at straight-line acceleration? Popular YouTuber Schmee150 decided to find out.

In the video, the Huracan STO goes up against a Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series modified by Opus. The four-liter twin-turbo V8 enjoys a boost to 862 PS (850 hp / 634 kW) and delivers them to the ground with confidence thanks to Michelin Cup 2 R tires.

In turn, the Lambo makes do with its stock 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW), but let us not discount its lower curb weight and mid-engined layout. In fact, it always manages to jump off the line faster than the Mercedes. Will the latter be able to catch up with it before it’s too late?
