Toyota Motor Corporation has published the basic technical information on the latest GR Super Sport Concept hypercar. The vehicle, which will get a hybrid engine, premieres at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2018 in Japan starting soon.

Based on the photos revealed, the new Toyota GR Super Sport Concept is a fusion of numerous technological solutions commonly employed in the racing car industry. For instance, it obviously takes after Toyota TS050 Hybrid, a World Endurance Championship participant.

The new Toyota GR Super Sport Concept gets a 2.4-liter, six-cylinder, twin-turbo engine with a 1000+ hp output.

The hypercar, which may or may not fall under the definition of “environmentally-friendly car” based on its engine, looks every bit as aggressive as those WEC vehicles. With no headlamps altogether, no conventional driver’s door or side windows, it definitely isn’t meant to be legally driven on public roads.
