Rumor: Infiniti to ditch the Q60 later this year

The Infiniti Q60 came to the market six years ago, and if Motor1 is listening to the right sources, the coupe will soon go out of production for good, leaving the Q50 sedan the only mass-produced Infiniti vehicle describable as a light passenger car.

We are told that the demand for the D-class premium coupe has all but flatlined recently. With this in view, the marque will naturally want to dedicate itself to SUV and EV segments of the market.

Rumors about the impending discontinuation of the Q60 have been brewing for a long time. The latest alleged leak is also nothing more than that – an unconfirmed piece of information, so it is up to you whether to trust it.

The latest Infiniti Q60 comes equipped with 2.0- and 3.0-liter petrol engines. The former produces 211 PS (208 hp / 155 kW), which enables the coupe to accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 6.9–7.4 seconds. The latter is available in two variants rated at 304 PS (300 hp / 224 kW) and 406 PS (400 hp / 299 kW). Depending on your pick, the standard sprint succeeds in 4.5–5.5 seconds.
