Polestar 6 is a roadster you can pre-order now, get in 2026

Polestar has announced the production start of an all-electric droptop based on the O2 Concept in 2026 and opened the pre-order books for the model. Despite the car still being a few years away from us, here are some official specs and details.

The model will be based on a proprietary aluminum platform and support rapid charging. The same platform will be used for the Polestar 5, which will use dual electric motors to hit the wheels with 884 PS (872 hp / 650 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. Preliminary calculations show that the Polestar 6 should be able to sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.2 seconds at most, and max out at 250 km/h (155 mph).

When the electric roadster makes it to the assembly lines, the company will first produce 500 First Edition units painted Sky Blue like the original concept, complemented by a light-hued leather interior and unique 21-inch wheels.
