Volkswagen ID. Buzz tries the roles of a fridge and a workshop on wheels

During its days at the Commercial Transports Show in Hannover, Germany, Volkswagen has introduced a slew of possible modifications of its ID. Buzz electric van. We have already covered the emergency response vehicle, so let’s look at the rest of them now.

These include a classic two-seater cargo van and a refrigerator for transporting frozen goods. Whether either of them will go into production anytime soon is not clear – maybe the company is simply probing the market, assessing opportunities and gathering feedback.

Next up in line is a collaboration with tool manufacturer Miele. It is essentially a mobile workshop vehicle with shelves upon shelves of tools, a carpentry table inside, and plenty of equipment for maintenance and repair crews.

The fourth and final version has a perfectly cubical cargo area. Designed by Veth Automotive, its main advantage is having six square meters of floor surface for transporting all kinds of goods in an easy fashion. The compartment can be equipped with side and rear doors styled like roller shutters, hinged or sliding doors.
