Car Tuning

Particularly rare Lancia Delta restomod crops up for eye-watering $650k

The Lancia Delta Integrale belongs to the most recognizable and loved rally cars in history, but despite their rarity these days, these cars often end up modded beyond recognition. One such example just cropped up on sale with a price tag to make some Lamborghinis go green with envy.

Back in 2018, Automobili Amos announced the coming of the Delta Futuristica, a high-end restomod based on the Lancia Delta with a full-carbon body and an engine boosted to 335 PS (330 hp / 246 kW). The intended production run did not exceed 20 units; it is unclear how many exactly was made.

The restoration saw the five-door hatchback lose its two rear doors, which, according to the engineering team, helped improve its overall rigidity. Stock wheels made room for turbine-shaped alloys finished to match the rest of the exterior, and the dry weight dropped to just 1,250 kilos (2,755 pounds).

Inside, Automobili Amos predominantly used Alcantara for the trim, replacing the front seats with Recaros and adding an engine boost button to the dashboard. The rear seat row is still there, but getting to it can be tricky due to the missing doors.

As for the engine, the block is stock, but enjoys a sports-grade air intake system, a new exhaust, an improved intercooler and a modern ECU. The torque hits all four wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential.

Back when it just came out in Europe, the restomod cost a rough equivalent of U.S. $347,000. This particular example is up for grabs in Florida right now with near-zero mileage and an asking price of $649,950.
