Mercedes-Benz B-Class gets its official facelift

Hardly have we reported about the new A-Class when Mercedes rolled out the facelifted B-Class as well. The model is essentially the same, just put in a different body and lacking an AMG version so far.

Other than that, the facelift recipe is the same: all novelty on the outside boils to slightly retouched lighting, bumpers and wheels. Inside, the trim scheme is new and makes better use of recycled materials. The seats were redesigned to be more comfortable, and the MBUX infotainment system was updated to the latest software version. The display now starts at 10.25 inches of diagonal size instead of just 7.

The drivetrain modifications are also the same as the 2023 A-Class all around. All gasoline engines are now mild hybrids and produce 136, 163, 190 and 224 PS (134, 161, 187 and 221 hp; 100, 120, 140 and 165 kilowatts, respectively). Then there are three diesels capable of 116, 150 and 190 PS (114, 148 and 187 hp; 85, 110 and 140 kW). The plug-in hybrid variant enjoys a 5-kilowatt boost to its electric motor, but its combined output stays unchanged at 218 PS (215 hp / 160 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft).
