Hyundai reveals Ioniq 6 range and other specs

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 premiered in summer as a tech-packed electric sedan, and now we can finally have a look at the various versions set to go on sale before the end of the year.

The Standard spec is single-motor and rear-wheel-drove. It offers 151 PS (149 hp / 111 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque. Its traction battery pack holds up to 53 kWh of juice and translates into 420 kilometers (261 miles) of WLTP range.

Those who would like more mileage should consider an upmarket spec called Long Range. It comes with a battery rated at 77.4 kWh and yields up to 614 km (381 miles) of uninterrupted driving. The above is valid for an RWD specification churning out 228 PS (225 hp / 168 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque. Opting for dual motors and AWD nets you 325 PS (321 hp / 239 kW) and 605 Nm (446 lb-ft) of torque, but reduces the WLTP range to 583 km (362 miles).

All numbers are given for cars equipped with standard 18-inch wheels, Hyundai points out. The Long Range variant supports optional 20-inch wheels, but they reduce the available mileage quoted above to 545 and 519 km (338 and 322 miles), respectively.

The sales start remains scheduled for later this year.
