GMC Hummer EV, F-150 Lightning or Escalade V – which one is the drag strip king?

The YouTube team of TFLEV put powerful and heavyweight vehicles on the drag strip in its latest video: a GMC Hummer EV faced off a Ford F-150 Lightning and a Cadillac Escalade V. None of them was designed with acceleration racing in mind, but that’s what makes things interesting!

Powering the GMC Hummer EV is a high-end three-motor setup capable of 1,014 PS (1,000 hp / 746 kW). The monster weighs on the order of 4,082 kg (9,000 pounds), decisively outweighing its opponents. The F-150 Lightning packs less than half the power of the Hummer EV, but its torque is quite adequate at 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft). Finally, the Cadillac relies on a 6.2-liter turbo mill burning gasoline for 691 PS (682 hp / 508 kW) and 885 Nm (653 lb-ft) of torque.
