Theon Design endows a Porsche 911 with a supercharger

UK-based Porsche specialist Theon Design has unveiled a custom Porsche 911 (964) with a boosted engine, semi-active suspension and reinforced transmission.

The car is called BELL001 because it was the first time the tuning company delivered a restomod to Belgium. Powering it is the standard 3.6-liter flat-six engine supercharged by an added Rotrex blower and equipped with dual coolers. The new parts are installed with near-perfect symmetry to balance each other out and ensure an even weight distribution.

As a result, the 911 sends 406 PS (400 hp / 299 kW) and 500 Nm (368 lb-ft) of torque to its rear axle by way of a five-speed manual transmission. The base design is stock, but components have been swapped out to ensure long-term reliability.

As we mentioned above, the suspension is semi-active, and there is a performance exhaust system installed as well. When fueled to the max and ready to go, the while car weighs as little as 1,265 kilos (2,790 pounds). This is largely achieved thanks to a body almost entirely made from carbon-fiber panels.

One such restomod takes a year and a half to build. Prices in the UK start from £380,000.
