Infiniti Q50 debuts in Black Opal Edition
The Infiniti Q50 Red Sport 400 can now be obtained in an ‘extremely rare’ Black Opal Edition featuring a chameleon body paint and packing a mere $2,200 premium over the stock Red Sport 400, regardless whether it’s RWD or AWD.
Unlike the stock car – which you can see in the embedded video – the limited edition comes sprayed with a Black Opal Metallic paint taking on bluish, greenish and purplish hues depending on your viewpoint and the light fall angle. It also packs a trunk spoiler trimmed with carbon fiber and matte-black badging all around.
Regrettably, the photos published thus far do not quite convey how exactly the colors flow – the Q50 looks greener on some shots compared to the others, but that is about it. Inside, the leather trim is black with red stitching for contrast.
Powering the ride is a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 capable of 405 PS (400 hp / 299 kW) and 475 Nm (350 lb-ft) of torque. A seven-speed automatic transmission handles the momentum.
