Enthusiasts working on a hardware control bar for the Tesla 3 & Y

Tesla EVs are famous for their near-complete lack of old-fashioned hardware buttons and knobs, outsourcing all their functions to the infotainment system. However, some Tesla car enthusiasts are so averse to touch-based interfaces that they are currently crowdsourcing an alternate solution called Ctrl-Bar.
The Ctrl-Bar is envisioned as a compact panel mounted on the lower rim of the central display with four programmable buttons and two dials. The team behind the project says the controls will not be bound to any single function in particular, instead offering a variety of presents and full customization. The video demonstrates the bar being used as an HVAC control panel.
The upgrade is supposed to work via Bluetooth and a third-party application, which will be mandatory for proper operation.
It is unknown when or whether the Ctrl-Bar will reach the market.
