Study finds out which EV owners get the most mileage out of their cars

A bit of research conducted by iSeeCars with a pool of three-year-old electric cars has revealed that Tesla Model X owners get the most use out of their rides while Porsche Taycan appreciators mostly keep theirs as garage queens.

According to the research team, Tesla drives come closest to traditional ICE car drivers in their behavior. In fact, Tesla EVs occupy the top four lines of the ranking as the most-used and practical battery vehicles. The Model X reigns supreme with 16,700 km (10,377 miles) of use on average, while the Model S round off the quartet with 15,000 km (9,320 miles).

The list comprises 12 EVs considered the most popular in the USA and ends with the Porsche Taycan, which gets 7,800 km (4,850 miles) of road coverage per year.

The average mileage EV owners squeeze out of their cars is 14,600 km (roughly 9,075 miles). For comparison, ICE cars yield 29% more use – 20,500 km (12,750 mi) per year. Price-wise, EVs remain 47% more expensive on average than ICE cars.
