This Pontiac GTO convertible on sale is a Chevy Camaro in disguise

Kevin Morgan, a designer from Florida, remodeled a modern 2013 Chevrolet Camaro into a convincing replica of the Pontiac GTO, which he called ‘6T9’. The design proved a success among customers, so six others were made. One of them is up for grabs at Hagerty right now without an asking price.

The vehicle was created with the 1969 Pontiac ‘Judge’ convertible as the main source of inspiration. It ended up with a tangerine exterior finish, rally-style rims sized 20 inches in diameter and low-sat active headlamps turning along with the car.

The interior is deliciously retro and offers two bucket seats trimmed with leather, a Hurst gear lever and a ‘1 of 7’ plaque. It even has a signature of Hurst CEO Nate Sheldon inside.

Power comes from a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 boosted to a respectable 568 PS (560 hp / 418 kW). The transmission is seven-speed automatic, and the drive is on the rear axle. Other technical upgrades mentioned include Eibach lowering springs, an LSD, a stainless-steel exhaust system and black brake calipers adorned with the project logo.
