Have a look at the facility making the world’s most powerful Toyota Yaris

YouTube channel Frame has posted a behind-the-scenes tour of Toyota’s industrial facilities in Motomachi, Japan, where the high-end GR Yaris hatchback is made. The video sheds light on the entire industrial process.

The main frame of the car is welded together by robots, but human workers follow up by reinforcing certain points by hand. They also apply the glue to select components, which, according to Toyota, is essential in making the car as robust and resilient as possible.

All key assembly stages are also manual. The company emphasizes that only the most qualified and experienced workers are admitted to the process.

Self-driving automatic carts are used to haul heavy parts around the assembly facilities. The drivetrain is lifted and placed inside the car using the most precise manipulators available. When everything else is ready, the car goes through a light tunnel where it is checked for paint quality and sent further on a series of driving tests.
