New Renault Kadjar caught in the nude
Spy photos showing the refreshed Renault Kadjar compact SUV without the normally anticipated test mule camouflage have recently appeared online. The car itself won’t see its official premiere until 2019.
According to the images, the next-generation Renault Kadjar gets a new, chrome-coated radiator grille, headlights with smoother outlines and rectangular air intakes next to round fog lamps.
The rear part of the vehicle has changed considerably as well. The rear window has a different shape and now extends further onto the sides. The trunk door is larger, and the lighting sports a new design.
On the technical side of things, the newcomer takes advantage of the Nissan Qashqai platform. It comes with a choice of turbocharged gasoline engines 1.2 to 1.6 liters large, rated between 130 and 165 hp (97 – 123 kW). Two diesel engines are also available, a 1.5L with 110 hp / 97 kW and a 1.6L with 130 hp / 82kW. Transmission choices include manual, CVT and DCT.
Once the updated Renault Kadjar debuts on the market, it may also take advantage of a brand-new turbo engine which the manufacturer is currently developing with Daimler AG. Its performance is estimated at between 115 and 160 hp (85 – 120 kW).
Prices and premiere date aren’t being discussed at the moment.
