Updated Chery Tiggo 3 goes on sale in China
The refreshed Chery Tiggo 3 crossover SUV is now available in China starting at U.S. $9,500 for the base trim.
The vehicle sports a new front bumper – actually, the same one the special series debuted with – and has some chrome-coated details in the interior. No other immediately noticeable changes were made.
On its domestic market in China, the car comes strictly front-driven and packs a 1.6-liter naturally-aspirated engine with 126 hp (94 kW). You can select between a five-speed manual gearbox and an IVT.
The base specification includes frontal airbags, an unpretentious sound system, an air conditioner, cruise control, 17” wheels and parking sensors. The top trim level offers heated seats, an infotainment system with a touch-sensitive display, side airbags and the Bosch ESP system for additional stability on the road.
Despite the fact that the Chery Tiggo 3 is the most popular Chery vehicle in China, its market popularity has recently dropped 30%. Maybe the company wanted to liven up the sales by giving it a mild facelift like this.
