Nissan turns its Titan pickup truck into a surfer motorhome
Actually, something more than just a surfer motorhome. Those of us who are into fishing, rowing or just spending some nice time at a beach will appreciate the new Nissan Titan Surfcamp.
The vehicle houses a sun-heated shower, a camping tent and a canopy, several fishing rods, rowing boards, surfing boards and many other things.
The Surfcamp uses the Titan XD Midnight Edition as base and packs a 5.0-liter V8 turbo diesel engine capable of 310 hp (231 kW) and 752 Nm (555 lb×ft) of torque. It offers five seats and comes wrapped in cheery, seaside-themed vinyl film.
In comparison to its antecedent, the car has additional 76 mm (3”) of road clearance, exclusive rims, reworked bumpers and additional lighting.
It bears mentioning that the Nissan Titan series has become increasingly popular in North America over the past few years. Only 12,000 vehicles were sold in 2015, followed by as many as 53,000 in 2017. The new special edition should stimulate the sales further and help the manufacturer keep the overall positive trend.
