Mercedes-Benz EQ C spotted at Nürburgring
Mercedes-Benz began the road tests of its brand-new, all-electric EQ C SUV in the beginning 2018, so this isn’t the first time we are seeing it out in the open. However, this time around the vehicle was sighted at the North Loop of the Nürburgring Circuit in Germany. Perhaps the manufacturer wants to assess its sport capabilities.
Unfortunately, the vehicle is still cladded in thick protective film, preventing us from seeing any details. Rumor has it that it will ship with an improved version of the EQ Concept drivetrain, which consists of two electric motors together capable of 400 hp (300 kW) and 700 Nm (515 lb·ft) of torque.
Another anonymous source claims that the car will get a 70 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery set for 400 or 500 kilometers of driving range. There has been no official confirmation on behalf of the company yet.
The first member of the EQ family will celebrate its debut in the coming autumn. It is then that we will finally learn more about it, too.
Apart from the environment-friendly SUV, the EQ line will soon get a large sedan EV based on the S-Class.
