TechArt gives the Porsche Carrera T a nice boost
When Porsche announced plans to release a special edition of its Carrera coupe, named T, many hoped it would offer superb engine performance. As it turned out, the new Carrera T was only marginally stronger than the standard model. The car tuning atelier TechArt decided to address this problem by developing an engine upgrade for it.
The team has improved the stock three-liter V6 engine to 425 hp (317 kW) and 530 Nm (391 lb·ft) of torque. The latter went up 80 Nm (59 lb·ft) thanks to the installation of a new titanium/carbon exhaust system.
The tuned-up Porsche Carrera T accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in four seconds flat. Its regular counterpart achieves the same in 4.3s.
The upgrade costs $9,200.
Apart from the Carrera T, the company has also released similar packages for the Carrera GTS, S, and the standard Carrera.
