US-based car tuning atelier Saleen has revealed an upgrade package for the Ford F-150 pickup truck, which brings its performance up to 700 hp (522 kW).

The tuned-up vehicle received the name “Saleen Sportruck XR” and is already available through pre-orders. The pricing hasn’t been made public yet.

The tuning kit is said to give the vehicle extreme off-road capabilities. It includes 2.5” coilover springs, heavy-duty disc brakes, an elongated bottom plate and reworked bumpers.

Saleen also replaced the stock wheels with six-spoked ones clad in off-road tires.

Some new accessories can be found inside as well. The gauge backgrounds on the instrument panels are now white, and the floor mats and the headrests now bear the name of the atelier.

Customers may choose either a version with the stock naturally-aspirated engine, or a high-end one with a turbocharged engine rated at 700 hp (522 kW). The firm doesn’t reveal any details on this performance upgrade. It is, however, official that the latter ships with Fox shock absorbers, heavy-duty springs and several additional structural reinforcements.
