Ferrari introduces the Icona family

Supercar manufacturer Ferrari revealed its roadmap a few days ago, highlighting the coming of a new deluxe family of cars, the Icona. The first Icona model will be called Ferrari Monza.

The Spyder car series comes in two variants named the SP1 and SP2, the number in the name suffix corresponding to the number of seats. Both seem inspired by classical cars of the 1950s, an impression reinforced by prominent, bulging wheel arches. Then of course, both are made of carbon.

The Ferrari Monza is lacking any kind of roof or even windshield, necessitating wearing a helmet at all times. Its miniature doors swing upwards and to the side.

The new vehicle uses the Ferrari 812 Superfast chassis and engine, but the performance of the latter has been increased.

The interior contains the familiar Superfast instrument panel, displays and controls, but the dashboard design, the buttons and knobs are new.

Both the Ferrari Monza SP1 and Ferrari Monza SP2 accelerate 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and top out at 300 km/h.

The limited series will consist of 100 cars. The entire batch has already been sold out in pre-orders.
