Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk takes on two of its boosted peers

Armed with a 6.2L V8 engine producing 707 hp (527 kW), the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is one of the world’s fastest-going SUVs. Despite this, U.S. tuner Hennessey Performance still offers a few upgrades for those who never settle for less.

The video features a production-issue Trackhawk going up against two of its tuned-up counterparts.

The first vehicle received the HPE850 kit, which resulted in a boost to 852 hp (635 kW) and 1,146 Nm (845 lb·ft) of torque. To achieve this, the engineers had to increase the pressure generated by the supercharger and update the firmware. The atelier claims the upgraded car sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.9 seconds, which is 0.6s faster than the production version can do.

The second car was outfitted with the hi-end HPE1000 kit for a total of 1,012 hp (755 kW) and 1,314 Nm (969 lb·ft) of torque. To make these figures possible, a larger supercharger was installed along with a new injection / fuel pump system. As a result, the car only needs 2.7s to attain the abovementioned speed.

Watch the video to see how all three perform compared to each other.
