Hear an 800-HP Nissan Skyline R34 scream as it spits fire from exhaust

The Nissan Skyline series ascended to legendary status with the coming of the R34 GT-R in 1998. But while the coupe version has been passionately tuned all over the world ever since, the hype around the sedan-bodied R34 wasn’t nearly as big. Was it a worse car? Not at all, as this custom build by Drag International clearly demonstrates.

The Skyline shown below packs its native 2.6-liter inline-six engine boosted to a cool 800 hp (811 PS / 596 kW). The details in the video are scarce, but we know that some work has been done on the cylinder head assembly and the block itself. Hit Play to hear the new turbocharger whirr to life with an ear-piercing scream and to see flames come out of the single massive exhaust pipe.

It is worth pointing out that Drag International lists quite a few more extremely tuned Nissans in its portfolio, some of them cranked up as high as 1,500 hp (1,521 PS / 1,119 kW). However, the example in the video retains its stock transmission and AWD system, which is probably why it stays at 800.
