Nissan has uploaded photos of a refreshed Teana to the Ministry of Industry and IT database in China. The car looks seriously redesigned and will be available with a two-tone paintjob resembling Mercedes-Maybach creations.
Based on the images, the facelift car features a wider radiator grille framed by white inserts left and right, as well as darkened headlights and taillights. For the exterior, it looks like the customers will be choosing between a simple white paint and a two-tone finish featuring a black lower body against grey pillars, hood, roof and sider mirror caps.
The taillight stripe in the back has a backlit “Nissan” lettering on it, and the bumper appears cleaner than before, partially because there is no tailpipe visibly sticking from under it. Overall, the new Teana looks inspired by the all-electric N7.
The car is 4,920 mm long, making it 14 mm (roughly half an inch) longer than the current version. The other dimensions are pending.
Nissan-Dongfeng is offering the current model with a 2.0-liter turbo engine under the hood and an X-tronic CVT. It outputs 243 PS (240 hp / 179 kW). According to the certification sheet, the facelift retains this powertrain option. On the other hand, those looking for a cheap naturally aspirated option will find that it now makes only 144 PS (142 hp / 106 kW), a step down from the former 156 PS (154 hp / 115 kW).
Nissan has yet to formally announce the 2026 Teana. Its current counterpart is sold under the name “Altima” in China (see video) and costs 179,800–239,800 Yuan depending on the trim.
