The Battista hypercar by Pininfarina had been almost ready for production two years ago, but the Covid pandemic crisscrossed the original pans. Rewind to now, and the assembly lines are finally running.
A total of 150 vehicles will be made, each taking 10 qualified workers 1,250 hours to put together. The special edition called Battista Anniversario takes 90 hours longer than that still, getting unique livery, aerodynamic kit, seats and wheels. Only five Anniversario units will be made, and all five have been sold out.
Pininfarina lets its customers pay a visit to the factory complex and experience in first person how these cars are made in accordance with their chosen trim and spec.
Powering the Battista EV are four electric motors joining efforts for 1,900 PS (1,874 hp / 1,397 kW) and 2,340 Nm (1,726 lb-ft) of torque. The traction battery is good for 500 kilometers (310 miles) of range before a full recharge becomes necessary.
