UK-based tuning company Talos has wrapped up the creation of an extreme body kit for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Known as the RT, it adds £850,000 (U.S. $1,135,000) to the price of the car, which itself starts from around £158,000 ($211,000).
In relative terms, the aftermarket kit is nearly 5.5 times as expensive as the coupe itself. What does it do to justify the price tag? Let the Gt3 RS shed roughly 80 kilos (176 pounds) of weight, for starters. The entire bodywork gets replaced with naked carbon panels, although you can order it painted if exposed carbon isn’t your cup of tea.
A complete interior overhaul is listed under options. As for the engine, it gets a high-flow exhaust system and some other tweaks to hit the wheels with 540 PS (533 hp / 397 kW). That’s roughly 15 horsepower or 12 kilowatts more than stock. New Öhlins suspension components are also included in the full tuning program.
Talos plans to produce up to 20 examples of the kit depending on the demand. You are still supposed to supply your own GT3 RS, as it’s not included in the price.
