New Rezvani Arsenal is a pimped-out Escalade with bulletproof option

U.S.-based niche carmaker Rezvani has taken the wraps off its new Arsenal SUV. It is a custom SUV based on the $225k+ Cadillac Escalade that can be optioned with enough armor to withstand AK-47 fire.

Judging by the images, the entire bodywork is new. The most eye-catching features include a different front fascia, a new and sporty roofline, reversely inclined c-pillars and a reinforced tailgate. The bumpers with their auxiliary lighting are worth a mention as well, as are 22-inch wheels shod in 35-inch mud tires.

In stark contrast to the body, the interior actually stays stock aside from some trim replacements. This means that customers can order their Arsenal with seven or eight seats on board and any equipment they want – no restrictions here.

An optional package called Military Edition adds bulletproof glass and lightweight compound armor all around, as well as puncture-resistant tires and heavy-duty suspension. Further options stray into James Bond movie territory with strobe lights, an intercom, an EMP jammer, a smokescreen generator, a night vision system and door handles electrocuting anyone not properly authorized to touch them. Rezvani maintains a modest silence about the involved costs.

Unlike the tuner’s other wild armored creations, the new Arsenal runs on stock Escalade engines with no modifications being offered. You can order it with a petrol V8 rated from 420 to 700 hp (313–522 kW) or go for a turbo diesel capable of 280 hp (209 kW).
