Suzuki Jimny cosplays yet another American retro off-roader

Cal’s Motor, a Japanese tuning company specializing in producing cheap body kits for local vehicles, has refreshed its Suzuki Jimny offerings for the current model year. Both kits aim to make the compact off-roader look like the iconic Chevrolet K5 Blazer from the early 1970s.

As is the case in most such projects, the front end received the most attention. Changes here include a sharper, boxier nose, a custom radiator grille and a vintage-style front bumper. Same could be said about the headlights and the DRLs, but the LEDs inside are too obvious for the illusion to work. New taillights and wheel hubcaps round off the exterior styling effort.

The interior seemingly stays stock, as does the 0.66-liter Kei car engine rated at 64 PS (93 hp / 47 kW). Similar styling kits exist for other Jimny variants available around the globe, but you’ll have to contact the tuner for a quotation.

Prices in Japan start from ¥3,380,000, the Jimny already included. That comes to U.S. $20,900.
