Canadian armored vehicle manufacturer Inkas has come out with a rather explosive test footage of its latest Toyota Land Cruiser 300. The off-roader clad in VR7-grade armor fended off bullets and grenade blasts, and survived the explosion of a 15kg TNT bomb a few steps away.
The video starts with the car pelted with 5.56х45 and 7.62х51 caliber bullets (780 in total). It then rocks from side to side as hand grenades go off on its roof and under the bottom. The company takes care to show us the test dummies sitting inside the vehicle during the detonations. As you can see, the roof and the floor withstand the trial without deformation.
Inkas has to prove the compliance of its armoring approach with the VR7 standard, which is why conducting such tests is mandatory.
The armored Land Cruiser 300 was announced in March, although back then, the company previewed a BR6-grade example. It came equipped with ballistic body armor, including a partition wall in the trunk, reinforced engine and fuel tank, heavy-duty suspension and Runflat tires.
