Japanese tune-up shop could simply not ignore the newest Toyota Yaris Cross subcompact; here’s what it ended up with.
The website mentions side sill overlays, a new radiator grille, a front apron, a rear diffuser, and an aftermarket exhaust with a single tailpipe in the middle. You can buy the parts one by one (the door overlays being the most affordable at ¥26,400) or as a single package (¥275,000).
The Yaris Cross utilizes the same TNGA-B platform as the standard Yaris and essentially offers one major upgrade over it: AWD, which has to be paid for separately. The entry-level trim comes with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine rated at 120 PS (118 hp / 88 kW). A hybrid version is also available with a gasoline engine and a single electric motor jointly rated at 116 PS (114 hp / 85 kW). The hybrid is 40% more fuel-efficient than the ICE car and only consumes 3.25 liters of gas per 100 km (72+ MPG).
Toyota has been producing the Yaris Cross at its Kanegasaki factory for nearly a year now.
