Turkey’s first electric SUV reaching market soon without a name to itself

Togg, a car manufacturer calling Turkey its home, has revealed the pricing for its first fully electric SUV, which still goes without a name. The prospective buyers should set aside 1.0–1.6 million Turkish lira.

The company says reservations will open in a few days. The first buyers will get their cars as soon as late March or early April. Each example will be individualized with a variety of colors and trim options to choose among.

Togg expects to deliver 20,000 vehicles this year alone. It also plans to launch a sedan based on the same platform later on. The model range is set to expand to five models over the next few years, and the production is expected to reach 1,000,000 vehicles per year by 2030. As ambitious as the above goals sound from the perspective of a startup, Togg actually receives plenty of support from the authorities and President Erdogan himself.

In its most basic version, the SUV utilizes a single electric motor capable of 204 PS (201 hp / 150 kW) and around 300 km (186 miles) of range. A premium spec offers dual motors, 408 PS (402 hp / 300 kW) of combined output and a larger battery pack for 500 km (310 miles) on a charge.
