Volkswagen previews the ID.2all SUV in its first pic

The Volkswagen ID.2all is an all-electric crossover set to debut in 2026 as an SUV-shaped alternative to the affordable ID.2all, which we have already seen debut in its concept form.

The photo in the caption here is the only pic of the new ID.2all SUV available so far. The rest of the gallery and the video depict the ID.2all Concept. As you can see, the crossover sports flared fenders and three horizontal notches in the c-pillar, just like the ID.Buzz minivan before it.

From the technical perspective, we expect the SUV to be identical to its five-door hatchback cousin. Back when it was revealed, the ID.2all Concept had a single electric motor driving the front axle with 226 PS (223 hp / 166 kW). It offered up to 450 km (280 miles) of range per charge, but, knowing Volkswagen, we expect the final production car to have somewhat less actual range than that.

The VW ID.2all hatchback is slated for release sometime in 2025, and is estimated at €25,000 before options. Its SUV counterpart is scheduled to go on sale a year later.

Volkswagen let it slip that it envisioned the ID.2all as a successor of sorts to the Polo hatchback; as such, the SUV version might be seen as the successor to the retiring T-Cross model.
