Voyah’s Passion L stands for “Luxury”, not “Long wheelbase”

The Chinese sedan known as the Voyah Zhuiguang (or Passion) is getting a new version called L soon. It’s neither a new generation nor a facelift, but instead a luxury trim.

Compared to the standard Voyah Passion saloon (see video), the L version sports its own headlights, a LED bar running across the upper radiator grille and thinner, more densely packed grille slats. It also has a LiDAR on the roof, suggesting that it has a modern ADAS package. It likely comes from Huawei along with the infotainment software.

Sohu.com believes that the Passion L will be available in two petrol-electric variants – mild and plug-in hybrid. Both will allegedly be based on the same 1.5-liter engine. A fully electric version with 580–730 km (360–453 miles) of range is also possible.
The standard Voyah Passion is sized 5,088 mm (198.7 inches) long, 1,970 mm (77 inches) wide and 1,505 mm (58.8 inches) tall with 3 meters (117.2 inches) between the axles. There’s nothing to suggest that the L trim will be any different.

Since its domestic launch in 2023, the Voyah Zhuiguang has sold only 13,300 units. That’s quite lackluster for what it is, so the company likely wants to take it upmarket now to see if it fixes things.
