Zeekr has introduced its next flagship, a hybrid crossover SUV known as the 9Х. The prices have yet to be revealed, but for everything else, read on.
The Zeekr 9X is a three-row, six-seat vehicle with two particularly deluxe power-assisted seats in the middle row. Audio speakers are built into front row headrests, buttons reside where door handles usually are, and the center console houses two wireless charging pads now that the transmission selector has been moved to the steering column.
Powering the flagship is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine assisted by two electric motors. Their combined 1,381 PS (1,362 hp / 1,016 kW) takes the SUV from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.1 seconds and to a top speed of 240 km/h (149 mph). Zeekr warns that this result is only achievable with the maximum battery charge (which yields the maximum voltage). Once full, the 70-kWh battery has up to 380 km (236 miles) of range.
From the mechanical perspective, the 9X is based on a new platform known as the SEA-S. It takes advantage of air-ride suspension elements that can be used to adjust the clearance within a range of 110 mm (4.3 inches) from the default setting. It also features active shock absorbers said to be particularly efficient at roll stabilization.
Paying extra for the top trim gets you G-Pilot H9, an adaptive cruise control system with five LiDARs and dual Nvidia Drive Thor processor chip packing 1,400 TOPS of combined computational power. All lesser trims make do with G-Pilot H7, one Drive Thor processor and 700 TOPS.
