When Acura revealed the next-gen TLX sedan a couple of months ago, it withheld the most interesting part: the power rating of the top-spec 3.0L V6 turbo. Today, it finally disclosed the numbers.
The engine now comes rated at 360 hp (268 kW) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque, packing a sizeable boost over the previous generation’s 290 hp (216 kW). A ten-speed automatic transmission sends the momentum to all four wheels via SH-AWD. Acceleration times remain unannounced.
The new TLX series will participate in the Pikes Peak Race to the Clouds scheduled for August 30, 2020. There will be one safety car and two Exhibition-class vehicles with reworked 2.0-liter engines and chassis.
The 2021 Acura TLX will hit the showrooms throughout the USA this fall, followed by Type S next spring.
