A tuning firm from Italy decided to improve upon the looks of the arguably already cool-looking Alfa Romeo Brera and transplanted a Giulia Quadrifoglio front onto it. Here are the interesting details.
The main challenge was the fact that the Brera is a FWD car with a massive front overhang, while for the Giulia it’s the other way around. This explains why the team ended up spending a whole year working on the conversion. The owner says that, once you have all the right proportions in place, you can complete the same work in around four months with a team of two or three.
Custom fabricated parts here include wheel arches all around, a ventilated hood with a power dome, a carbon-fiber front splitter, side sills and some rear end trim. Although the Giulia was the main source of inspiration, some details – like the taillight patterns – reference the more recent Tonale SUV.
The first converted example was fitted with a 2.4liter diesel engine good for 210 PS (207 hp / 154 kW), which may not sound good for some. The company said it planned to have it replaced with a General Motors 3.2-liter V6 mill supercharged to 260 PS (256 hp / 191 kW) somewhere down the road.
PariS’5 GaraGe will carry out a similar conversion for you starting from €20,000 as long as you also supply a donor vehicle.
