2020 BMW 3-Series Touring debuts in Frankfurt

BMW has unveiled a refreshed version of its 3-Series Touring model at the International Motor Germany 2019 that began in Frankfurt hours ago. The car gained aggressively styled headlights, a tapering front end, the signature ‘kidney grille’, T-shaped front air intakes, and functional roof railings.

The update makes the tailgate automatic, and the trunk area gains 112 mm (4.4 inches) of extra width. The resulting trunk volume amounts to 500 liters (17.66 cubic feet) with the seats up or 1,510 l (53.32 cu. ft.) with them folded.

The new BMW 3-Series Touring will arrive in four trim versions: M Sport, Luxury Line, Sport Line, and Advantage. Differences will be restricted to exterior and cabin design.

The series will ship with three gasoline engines and three diesel ones, available with six-speed manual and 8-G Steptronic transmissions. The gasoline lineup comes rated at 184, 258, and 374 horsepower (137, 192, and 279 kilowatts, respectively), and the diesel one at 150, 190, and 265 hp (112, 142, and 198 kW, respectively).
