RaceChip unveils a 612-PS tuning option for the new BMW M3

The latest BMW G80 M3 slams the wheels with 510 PS (503 hp / 375 kW) and has 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque, so there is no calling it underpowered. Still, should you ever need more, RaceChip has you covered.

A few months ago, the German tuning company launched an ECU tune that enabled the stock 3.0-liter inline-six engine to pump out an impressive 660 PS (651 hp / 485 kW) along with a mountain-moving 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque. The new tune is somewhat more affordable and rational.

The company promises up to 612 PS (603 hp / 450 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque, which is arguably still plenty. More interestingly, drivers can switch between 7 finely tuned engine presets to save up to 15 percent of gas on injection. Paying extra gets you an aftermarket exhaust system, a set of Edelweiss LT°3 wheels and a smartphone app for those who would like to switch presets on the go. The suspension can be dropped slightly using Eibach springs and the body wrapped in a striking vinyl wrap by Schwabenfolia.
