New BMW grille haters, look away: the Bavarian company has just posted another taser pic previewing its concept EV named Neue Klasse, and it has a faux grille at the front that pretends to, uh, breathe in and breathe out.
The image focuses on the shape and pattern of the purely ornamental grille, as well as a hood cover with long stamped sections and an embossed, unpainted logo.
The Neue Klasse is envisioned as the precursor to a whole new electric vehicle architecture that BMW bets big on. The Bavarian company plans to launch six new cars based on it in 2025–2027, ranging from sedans and SUVs to supercars.
Rumor has it the Neue Klasse platform will support powertrains rated above 1,300 horsepower (950 kilowatts). Its new batteries should improve EV range by 30% while cutting battery production costs by 50%.
