Chery, which had only been selling its Omoda 5 SUV in Malaysia until recently, introduced the Tiggo 8 Pro in that country – and not just any version, but the latest facelift.
The car is stated to be 4,722 mm long, 1,860 mm wide and 1,705 mm tall with 2,710 mm between the axles. The update changes the radiator grille pattern and brings along a new pair of taillights connected with an LED strip.
Inside, a single trapezoid cowling brings together the dashboard and the multimedia system. The gear lever is new as well, and the wireless phone charger now has enough space on it for two phones.
The only engine on offer is a 2.0-liter petrol four-pot turbocharged to 256 PS (252 hp / 188 kW) and 390 Nm (288 lb-ft) of torque. A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission carries the momentum to the front wheels.
As of right now, the only trim on sale is Premium, which starts from 159,800 Malaysian Ringgit. It includes 19-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, adaptive cruise control, surround view cameras, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, nine airbags and an eight-speaker Sony audio system. For the exterior color, your choices are limited to Dark Black and Khaki White.
