Citroen is getting a brand-new all-electric supermini ready to rumble. The vehicle is actually a quadricycle that you will be able to buy, rent for longer terms or hire from a car-sharing service starting this summer.
The Ami only costs €6,000 to purchase, monthly rent costs a mere €20 as long as you provide a €2,650 deposit, and the car-sharing fee is €0.26 per minute.
The quadricycle comes with a 5.5-kWh traction battery mounted at the bottom and can accelerate to 42 km/h (26 mph) max. The horsepower rating is not available, but the average range amounts to 75 km (46.6 miles), Citroen claims.
Interestingly enough, because the Ami is legally considered a quadricycle and not a motorized vehicle, you can drive it without license in many EU countries.
