Dacia refreshes multiple models at once

Considerable visual and technical updates are coming next year for the Dacia Sandero, Sandero Stepway, Logan and Jogger.

Starting with the Sandero Stepway, it can now be optioned with a new powertrain called the Hybrid 155. It uses a 1.8-liter, naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine to push 109 PS (108 hp / 80 kW) to the wheels. An electric motor supplies another 50 PS (49 hp / 37 kW). A starter-generator helps with the initial acceleration and draws power from a 1.4-kWh battery pack. The automatic transmission has four gears for the engine and two for the motor.

This version of the Sandero Stepway will go on sale in Europe in the final quarter of 2026, Dacia says. The same powertrain will later make it under the hood of the Jogger SUV, phasing out the Hybrid 140 spec.

The regular Sandero will additionally be available with an Eco-G 120 powertrain capable of running on petrol or liquefied natural gas. The 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder mill now pushes out 120 PS (118 hp / 88 kW), gaining 20 horsepower (15 kilowatts) over the pre-facelift version. It still uses a six-speed dual-clutch transmission to deliver the torque to the wheels.

Those who would rather get their Sandero with a 1.0-liter TCe turbo three-pot will appreciate to know that it remains available. Even better, it now makes 100 PS (99 hp / 74 kW) instead of 90 PS (89 hp / 66 kW). The same improved engine is available for the new Logan.

On the exterior side of things, the Sandero looks fresh thanks to T-shaped light signatures, a revised radiator grille and reshaped bumpers at both ends. These are accompanied by pixelated LED taillights at the back, now linked with a matte-black stripe.

The Stepway is more recognizable with little besides new rugged trims and anti-fog light bezels to tell it from the old version. Buyers can now go for Amber Yellow when choosing the exterior color, and that’s about it for the novelty.

Inside, the whole lineup now uses the same ergonomic steering wheel as the latest Duster, an improved infotainment system based on a 10-inch display and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. The dash UI has been reworked for readability, Dacia claims.

All four models will be available with a new option package called Driving Pack. Sales of the two Sandero models won’t begin until Q4 2026.
