Dallara Stradale loses roof and windshield in EXP version

The Italian sports car maker has posted a few new images of the upcoming Stradale EXP, a track-only version of the road-legal Dallara Stradale with far-reaching body modifications.

Highlights include a larger front splitter with side winglets and a massive rear wing. While the normal Stradale came with optional roof and windshield, neither is available for the track version.

The EXP can accelerate to 290 km/h (180 mph) and produces around 1,250 kg (2,750 lbs) of downforce at full tilt, which is quite impressive considering its curb weight of under 900 kg (2,000 lbs).

Power comes from a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-pot sourced from the Mk3 Ford Focus RS. The output amounts to 493 PS (486 hp / 363 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft), which is 98 PS (97 hp / 72 kW) and 200 Nm (148 lb-ft) above the standard values.

The company claims current Stradale owners may pay to have their cars upgraded to the EXP specification. Prices remain to be announced.
